David`s Fresh Cut Fries in Kitchener

We were not impressed here 1st time trying .It took close to a hour with 3 people in front of us ,food was under cooked and patties where about 1/2 of the bun .cost was up there with most all other places like that . Best part of it was the pineapple pop . Not somewhere we will try again .

Fantastic Newfie poutine and the Polish sausage here was also great. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I ordered the small NFLD fries (fries gravy, peas, home made stuffing with added cheese and it was so amazing and large portions for a small. A fresh twist on poutines and you can add hamburger, bacon and a lot more. I will go all out next visit and The guy there was so friendly and came out to see and ask if it was to our liking. Will highly recommend this to everyone I meet. A+++

Whatever Dave puts into his NFLD poutine... It's the best poutine I've had! Although the wait can be long TRUST me it's worth it! Also the burgers are amazing too!!!

When is this place actually open? I've gone numerous times to try the food during the advertised open hours (they have them listed on location and they match up to the Google hours) and they are just never open. I've tried both lunch hours on a Tuesday and dinner hours (6pm) during the week as well. Really disappointing. Do not advertise hours if you do not plan on keeping them.

Not bad. First time trying their poutine but it was definitely on the salty side, too much for me. I've yet to try other items on the menu, so I'll be sure to come in again. Although their services are a bit slow but for a pandemic, I won't hold it against them. Cheers!

Always amazing! The fries are out of this world!! The owner goes out of his way to make sure the food is exactly what you want. I've eaten here dozens of times over the years and it's consistently great quality!

I have eaten here during the summer all the time since I was little. Great food and friendly staff. Always get the poutine, it sparked my love for poutine in the first place.

The Food was ok, my wife's poutine was not that hot although she did enjoy it other wise. The NFLD fries were ok but not that flavorful. As it was my first experience there I felt that I was rushed with my order, and the guy was short and seemed rude. Better customer interaction is needed IMO. Maybe he was overwhelmed because it was busy. But he said it's always busy. The food takes a while considering it was just 2 orders of fries. The food was priced well though.

I love this place. The food is amazing and the prices are great. Get the poutine, you will not regret it.

It was really good food but we had to wait 30 minutes just for fries and a hot dog but he is working alone and there were alot of people there so i can't really blame him

Always fresh and great eats! Call ahead ordering is a bonus and your food is always ready when you arrive. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and the outside patio eating area is a nice bonus! Very clean place to eat!

I have been waiting for three years to get this review in. Going to Dave’s is like visiting your favourite BBQ grilling uncle. I was greeted like family, the place is welcoming, comforting, no frills and serves fresh, piping hot homemade fare. It’s specially a treat during summer days, when the sky is blue and it’s sunny outside, to sit on the picnic benches and have David’s food. I had their fries, no toppings, and they were golden, crispy and just the perfect comfort food, the kind that warms your soul up a little from the inside too. The fries were accompanied with fresh homemade milkshakes, that were delicious, perfectly sweetened and not too heavy. Their chicken tenders are great too! Overall, loved the casual, laid back experience and the generous portion sizes. Will definitely visit over and over again whenever I’m missing home.

Food quality slightly above average, service was extremely slow though. We understand the gentleman was working there by himself and with the social distancing that's going on things would be slower. But we waited an hour for a single order of poutine. (I had made a phone call from their parking lot after placing the original order at the window) and we received the food 56 mins after the call. We also watched other people who placed larger orders after us receive their food and leave ahead of us. The reason we were given. Was the food takes time.

Davids is a restaurant that has delicious food. You sit outside on a picnic table or take it with you. David has quite a lot of choices. He serves burgers schnitzel sausages hot dogs fresh made french fries and many other choices and ice cream or a homemade milkshake.The prices are reasonable. David is friendly.

Well the guy knows what he's doing. It can take a bit of time for the food to be ready but the quality is good and that's really what matters. He's got a pretty good menu, a large selection of sodas and ice creams. And some specialty items as well. If you haven't tried it I recommend it.

First time poutine was good but on a return visit the poutine tasted burnt and gravy was not too flavourful. Possibly they used old fry oil

We went there on a Saturday and got poutine and fries - really delicious! David is a great cook and has fantastic attitude! It does take a little bit longer to get your food but its nice and hot. Worth the wait. We'll definitely come again :)

Food is very good but if customer service was their this would be 5 stars. Rushes you while trying to order clearly his customers arent worth his time, rude overall, asks what condiments you want then says maybe he can do that, if you dont have some of the condiments why list them.

Always great to get a taste of home when im visiting! Being a newfie and loving a solid fries dressing and gravy, I feel the peas are just added for extra when thats not really a thing... and the newfie burger... I lived in nfld my entire life and never heard of something so gross... now a Baloney sandwich is whats up! Now what needs to be added is the turkey mess! Turkey, fries, gravey, and dressing is a perfect combo and I'd love to see it on the menu... perhaps instead of your bologna burger Maybe squid rings would be a good idea too And newfie steak aka bologna! Lol Highly recommend, just some suggestions lol 😂
